About
Roger Ford has been a mainstay in the MidDel business community for nearly 40 years. Roger moved to Del City in 1971 and began working in a local, family owned Funeral Home. After the family sold out to a corporation Roger started working toward opening his own Funeral Home and in 2003 opened Ford Funeral Service. Roger Ford has a strong belief in community service. Roger is the past President of the Rose State College Foundation, MidDel School Foundation, MidDel Tinker 100 Club and the Del City Chamber of Commerce. He is an active member of the Del City Kiwanis Club. Roger has been a member of Sunny Lane United Methodist Church for 38 years and now attends Destiny Christian Church. Roger has three children and four grandchildren; son Justin and his wife Christine and grandchildren Makenzie and Joshua; son, Matthew and his wife Francine and grandchildren Jorden and Jackson; daughter, Kimberlee.
In July of 2005 Roger Ford was proud to open Candlewood Event Center. Located next door to Ford Funeral Service, Candlewood serves not only as a Chapel for funeral services, but also accommodates wedding, business meetings, family parties, anniversaries, civic meetings, retreats and company training. One of the main functions of Candlewood is to serve as a meeting place for Grief Recovery Groups. Roger has been a Certified Grief Recovery Specialists since 1985. He has led 100's of Recovery Groups touching the lives of 1000's of people in Central Oklahoma. Roger Ford is committed to serving his community for years to come.
